About Us
Welcome!
Welcome to the City Road Primary School website!
City Road Primary School is situated in the Rotton Park area of North Edgbaston, close to the Dudley Road.
We are extremely fortunate to have such an aspirational school community. We have a warm and welcoming ethos, and we aim to provide a safe and happy environment where children can thrive and enjoy their learning.
Our broad and balanced curriculum is creative, fun, and challenging. We are passionate about giving our children experiences that widen their understanding of the world around them, both in school and outside. We offer a range of educational experiences, visitors to school and enrichment through music, sport, art, gardening, and dance. Outside of school, our children have access to a variety of educational visits which develop their learning and understanding of the curriculum. We do not request contributions for educational visits as we believe all children should have access to these valuable experiences.
We have a dedicated staff team, committed to developing the knowledge, skills and understanding which will enable our children to enjoy learning and achieve success.
We work closely with families to enable this to happen, as we recognise the positive contribution that a collaborative approach can achieve.
We have very high expectations for all our pupils irrespective of their starting points, and our dedicated and hardworking staff are fully committed to giving our children the opportunities they deserve. All our staff are very proud of working in such a nurturing and inclusive school.
Our school aims to inspire a passion for learning and success in all that we do, and together with parents and carers, each child is encouraged to follow this principle. We believe that to prepare children for the future, they are entitled to the best quality first education, combined with excellent pastoral care to ensure that all children fulfil their potential. By the end of Year 6, our children are well-prepared for the opportunities and challenges they will face in secondary school and beyond.
