Attendance and punctuality
This week our attendance is already 91%. We can work together and get it to 96% and above.
This half-term, we will be monitoring attendance and punctuality daily and talking to your children about the importance of regular attendance and punctuality.
It has been proven that poor attendance directly effects attainment. Your children can only learn if they come to school every day and on time.
School starts at 8.45 a.m. every day. Children need to be in their classes by 8.55 a.m. so that they can start their lessons promptly. Children who arrive late are greatly disadvantaged because they miss starting the day with their peers and the beginning of lessons. This means that they are often unsettled and confused about tasks. Their teacher will not always be able to revisit or explain work to them.
Every minute in school counts.
Thank you for your ongoing support.
